Mandala Day 12 - 2006-Nov-17 - Destruction (Hits: 1537)
The mandala was completed about 11am this morning. There was a wonderful turnout at the closing ceremony, with approximately 320 people in attendance. After introductory remarks and chants in Giffel's, the monks led a procession upstairs to the mandala, chanted again, and destroyed the mandala. Afterwards, we went to Wilson Park, where the monks dropped the sacred sand into Skull Creek. A powerful day for all.
