Themistoclean Wall in Divani Palace Acropolis Hotel

Built in 479CE, just after the Plataean battles. It was planned by Themistocles. Its purpose was to protect Athens from the Spartan attack. It was built in a hurry while Themistocles was trying to delay the Spartans. For material they even used stones and marbles from their graveyards.
